Last Tuesday I saw a Porsche Cayenne hit a parked car in a grocery store parking lot. When the Porsche started to pull away, I stayed parked at the end of the row until he rolled down his window and said "I'm stopping but I need to park again." So I pulled into a spot and loaned the driver a pen with some paper.
While the driver was writing down his contact information, I wrote down his license plate number.
Once he gave back my pen, and placed a note on the car, I proceeded into the grocery store.
When I left the grocery store, the note was gone from the windshield of the car. The driver must have returned and removed the note.
Since I had the license plate information, I wrote a new note, placed it on the windshield and went home.
On Thanksgiving I received a call from a women in Maryland. She was driving a rental car, and my note combined with the police report saved her from $300 in charges.
